Sonic, the fast blue hedgehog, returns to the big screen in ‘Sonic The Hedgehog 2’ with Jim Carrey playing the evil Dr. Evo Robotnik while Idris Elba plays his partner Knuckles. The film is directed by Jeff Fowler who is famous for the two action blockbuster movies, ‘The Fast and The Furious,’ and ‘Deadpool.’

Paramount Pictures has released the official trailer and some photos ahead of its worldwide debut on April 27, 2022. While Four Star will handle the distribution of the film in the Egyptian theatres.

‘Sonic the Hedgehog 2,’ takes the action to a whole new level, with Sonic owns up to the idea of being as a superhero in the city of Green Hills. Dr. Robotnik and his new sidekick Knuckles faced their first challenge when they discovered a Jewel that represented the source of ultimate power to destroy the world’s civilization. Thus, Sonic and Tails go on a race around the world to reclaim the jewel before it falls into the hands of evil.

‘Sonic the Hedgehog,’ part one, which was released in theatres in 2020, was a big hit, and now ‘Sonic the Hedgehog 2,’ stars Ben Schwartz as Sonic, James Marsden and Tika Sumpter, Natasha Rothwell, Adam Pally, and Shemar Moore, in addition to Jim Carrey, Idris Elba who plays Knuckles, and Colleen O’Shaughnessey as Tails.
