On Thursday, the Egyptian Ministry of Health announced that Egypt would allow travelers who have received full doses of approved Coronavirus vaccines to enter without taking a (PCR) test.
All passengers traveling to Egypt from anywhere should provide a negative PCR test performed 72 hours before departure. However, vaccination certificates could be provided instead.
Travelers must provide certificates that include a QR Code stating that they have received full doses of one of the six “Covid-19” vaccines approved by Egypt and the World Health Organization at least two weeks before their arrival from the following vaccines: Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca, Sinopharm, Sinovac, or Sputnik vaccines, or 14 days after receiving a single-dose vaccine, such as Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen vaccine.
The health ministry said the new rules are applied to travelers from countries affected “directly or indirectly” by the new variants.
As for travelers who test positive while in Egypt, they will be deported.
