Dahab witnessed a remarkable achievement as swimmer Mohamed Ayman completed a distance exceeding 25 km during the SwiMaster event, held under the theme “Swim to Live.” The event was organized with the support of the Ministry of Youth and Sports and Ministry of Environment, the Egyptian Olympic Committee, and the Modern Pentathlon Federation. It aimed to raise awareness about environmental protection, climate change, and the importance of safeguarding marine life and coral reefs through sports.
Swimmer Mohamed Ayman’s Milestone Achievement
During the “Swims for Life” event in Dahab, swimmer Mohamed Ayman achieved an incredible milestone, surpassing his goal of swimming 25 km in a single day. This remarkable feat took him from the Blue Hole to the Three Pools, demonstrating not only his endurance but also his commitment to raising awareness about environmental protection and marine conservation.
The event underscored the importance of safeguarding our oceans, aligning with Egypt’s 2030 Strategy and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Ayman was warmly welcomed by Ahmed Eid El-Khalek, Director of the General Department of Tourism and Sports Events at the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and Major General Abdelrahman Mohamed Baha El-Din, Head of Dahab City in South Sinai, along with representatives from the Youth and Sports Departments of Dahab and Sharm El-Sheikh, the SwiMaster team, and various sponsoring organizations and local youth.
The event, sponsored by TotalEnergies Marketing Egypt, Ecotel Hotel, and Jupiter Commz, commenced from the “Blue Hole” area and concluded at the “Three Pools” area in Dahab. Mohamed Ayman achieved one of the longest swimming distances in the Red Sea, surpassing 25 km. He crossed the finish line marked by a plastic gate designed to promote recycling and the creation of unique artistic projects.
Lobna Amr, the team coach and President of SwiMaster, expressed her immense joy and pride in Mohamed Ayman’s success, emphasizing the event’s message of raising environmental awareness and encouraging youth participation in sports to improve lifestyle. She also highlighted the importance of youth involvement in such events to showcase their talents and skills across various fields.
Lobna Amr extended her gratitude to Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports, Dr. Yasmine Fouad, Minister of Environment, Engineer Sherif El-Erian, Secretary General of the Egyptian Olympic Committee and President of the Modern Pentathlon Federation, and all security and concerned authorities for their support and facilitation of the event. She also thanked TotalEnergies Marketing Egypt, Ecotel Dahab, and Jupiter Commz for their significant support before, during, and after the event.
Mohamed Ayman expressed his happiness at achieving this record and thanked SwiMaster and its coaching team, led by Lobna Amro, for their efforts and support in enabling him to achieve this proud success.

Dahab was chosen as the venue due to its popularity among Egyptians, its stunning natural beauty, and the abundance of coral reefs and diverse marine life, making it an ideal location to reinforce the event’s environmental message. To ensure the swimmer’s safety, SwiMaster implemented comprehensive safety measures, including full medical support led by Dr. Mohamed Maher and the use of eco-friendly devices with sensors to detect and repel sharks.
Additionally, a group of Egyptians and foreigners from high boats and ships cheered on Mohamed Ayman with enthusiastic music and cheers during his swim in the Red Sea to achieve this remarkable feat.
Mohamed Ayman, a distinguished athlete who joined SwiMaster in 2020, has proven his capabilities through a specially designed program that helped him harness his strengths. His confidence in his abilities has led him to numerous achievements, not only in swimming and triathlons but also in his personal and professional life. He earned 5th and 10th places in the Ironman 70.3, 15th place in the Bosphorus Cross-Continental Swimming Race 2023 out of 2,600 swimmers, and 4th place in the Oceanman 10 km race.
