A few days before its world premiere at the Cairo International Film Festival (November 13 – 22) as part of the short film competition, the official trailer for ABU JUDY, directed by Adel Ahmed Yehia, has been released.
The trailer begins with the young girl, Judy, entering a mobile accessories shop, followed by a scene where she is on the road with her father on a motorcycle.
ABU JUDY is a story by Adel Ahmed Yehia, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Ebrahim El Naggari and Mohamed Mamdouh. The film tells the story of Judy, a 10-year-old girl, who regularly accompanies her father to work. One day, an unexpected event unfolds, challenging their relationship in ways neither of them could have anticipated.
The film stars Emad Ghonim, young actress Janna, Nessma Bahy, and Mohamed Raouf, produced by Red Star Films, with producers Baho Bakhash and Safi El Din Mahmoud; Hawadeet Films, with producer Moataz Abd El Wahab; and Garage Art Production, with actor and producer Ahmed Magdy, and co-produced by Ticket Egypt, with producer Mina Kadri
