Egypt’s Minister of Health and Population, Dr. Hala Zayed, announced that the first case of the Delta Variant in Egypt was discovered in mid-July.

The said case was of a woman whose condition did not require going to a hospital, noting a rise in the number of people infected with the Coronavirus during the past days.

During a press conference, she added that the Delta Variant is not as dangerous in the severity of symptoms but lies in the speed of its outbreak, confirming that it is found in all countries, and its symptoms are mild.

She added that the Ministry of Health and Population had set the fees for obtaining approved insured certificates for students who have received the Corona vaccine at 25 pounds. The payment will be online.

The Ministry relied on the database sent by Higher Education with the names of students to ensure that this person is a student when issuing approved certificates for those who received the Corona vaccine.
