Lawyer Amr Abdel Salam has filed a lawsuit in the Administrative Court of the State Council against the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, demanding the cancellation of the permit for the upcoming concert of American rapper Travis Scott, scheduled to be held at the foot of the Pyramids on July 28th.
Amr Abdel Salam stated in a post on his Facebook page that he filed this lawsuit due to the previous concerts of American rapper Travis Scott, which witnessed the practice of satanic and Masonic rituals, drug use, and sexual activities.
He added,
“The practices witnessed at the concerts of American rapper Travis Scott contradict the values and traditions of Egyptian society, in addition to his support for the Afrocentric movement that is hostile to the Egyptian identity.”
Abdel Salam confirmed that many people lost their lives during one of Travis Scott’s concerts in the United States in 2021, which was described as the bloodiest concert in the country’s history. This led the families of the victims to file dozens of lawsuits against him in the American courts.
It is worth mentioning that Travis Scott had announced a major concert to be held at the foot of the Pyramids on Friday, July 28th. The concert tickets were divided into two categories: Premium tickets priced at four thousand Egyptian pounds and VIP Golden Circle tickets priced at 6,500 Egyptian pounds, which were sold out in less than half an hour after the booking opened.
The organizing company announced the entry conditions for the concert, stating that those under the age of 16 are not allowed to enter, and cameras and large bags are prohibited.
