Sameh Shoukry, Egyptian foreign minister, has announced that Egypt will be sending urgent relief aid to Turkey and Syria in response to the 7.8 magnitude earthquake that struck both nations resulting in more than 1,600 dead people in Northern Syria, mainly in the regions of Aleppo, Hama, Latakia, and Tartus, 3,491 in Turkey and injuring more than 15,000 people according to The Guardian.
According to Sky News Arabia, the country’s official news, Elsheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed, President of UAE, ordered to organize a field hospital to help those injured in Turkey and Syria.
Ibrahim Murad, Algeria’s Minister of Interior, launched the first civil protection team to participate in rescue operations in Turkey.
Many Arab countries, such as Lebanon, Kuwait, Jordan, and Algeria, also contributed to the aid.
