At El-Shai, we love to celebrate young talents, especially during Ramadan. While the talents we usually pick are around their mid-twenties, this year’s real rising stars were a lot younger.

This year, we were blown away by the young cast of the series “Kamel El Addad,” who stole the show and had everyone talking. One of these talents is Hamza Diab, who we were surprised to discover is not just a good young actor but has a lot more to offer.

From Football to Acting: A Surprising Turn of Events

Hamza Diab was born on April 30th, 2006, and originally wanted to become a professional football player. However, he developed inflammation of the growth plate, which is a region of growing tissue near the ends of long bones in children and adolescents.

This condition, known as osteochondritis, can cause pain, swelling, and reduced range of motion in the affected joint, making it impossible for him to pursue his football dream.

With football off the table, Hamza was on the lookout for his passion. He considered playing guitar and archery, but they didn’t feel right. It was then that he randomly applied for an acting course, which was delayed, and he almost forgot about it. However, his sister convinced him to give it a try, and it changed his life forever.

From Unknown to Overnight Fame

After joining the acting school, he was cast for the series “Kamel El Addad.” Hamza was so excited about this opportunity that he didn’t tell anyone about his casting. When the show aired, Hamza’s overnight fame surprised everyone around him.

In our interview with him, Hamza confessed that he never thought about acting as a career. Although he enjoyed school plays, he never considered it as a profession. However, after joining the acting course, he found himself in acting and doesn’t want to stop.
