The target sprint competitions for juniors were concluded at the Egyptian International Olympic City in the Administrative Capital as part of the 2nd day of the World Cup for rifle and pistol shooting, hosted by Egypt from 27/2 to 8/3, with the Egyptian team winning second place
The Egyptian national shooting team had Ali Kamal, and Mira Ahmed won second place and the silver medal, while the first and third places were for Britain.
And in the Target Sprint competition, senior mixed teams, Germany placed first to win the gold medal; however, the Sultanate of Oman came in second and third place.
However, in the women’s 10m air pistol final competition, Anna Korakaki from Germany placed first, Isha Singh of India placed second, and Antoinita Kokstaky Nova of Bulgaria placed third.
Also, in the men’s 10m air pistol final, Chaudhary Saurabh from India won the gold medal, Michael Shevald of Germany placed second, and Artom Cherno Usov placed third.
About the tournament
The tournament will be held from February 27 to March 8, under the supervision of the Egyptian Shooting Federation headed by Mr. Hazem Hosny and under the patronage of Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports.
The tournament witnessed wide participation from various countries worldwide, with 65 countries participating.
