Under the slogan “Egypt through Egyptian eyes”, the State Ministry of Information launches the second phase of the “News in a Picture” initiative to celebrate the World Tourism Day.
The initiative aims to encourage talented people in the field of photojournalism, in addition to that it is based on Egypt Vision 2030 and the Sustainable Development Goals.
The competition rules stipulate that the submitted photos should address the issue of tourism from a creative perspective, and that the participating photos were taken inside the Arab Republic of Egypt during this year, and that any modification in the image that changes its elements, such as installing an external element or removing an element from the image with various software tools, is strictly prohibited, even if it is an element that does not change the general meaning, but it allows cutting, colour modification and lighting in a way that does not change the meaning of the image or its content or affect its elements.
Each participant is entitled to participate with no more than five photos that shall be sent in large and clear sizes so that they can be judged printed in a public exhibition in case of winning, and photos can only be sent to the e-mail: WPD@smoinfo.gov.eg
