Ahmed Abdelhamid’s stardom has been on the rise over the past few years, developing a reputation for his ability to embody diverse characters with various dimensions, and his upcoming work is no exception to that rule.
Here are the four new characters Abdelhamid will be bringing to life in this upcoming season of television dramas and films:
Stereo – The Gemini – DEBO
You can find the first of Abdelhamid’s new characters on Yango Play’s horror-comedy series DEBO. A mercurial character, Stereo’s split personality has so far raised questions among viewers on whether he’s simply a disturbed man or possessed by a ghost, as he seamlessly transforms from a compliant and peaceful guard during the day to a violent thug at night.
Ramadan – The Accomplice – DEATH SQUAD
The brother of Al-Khat — a famous Upper Egyptian serial killer — Ramadan shadows his brother’s every step, aiding in his murders and covering their tracks in the upcoming action thriller DEATH SQUAD, starring Ahmed Ezz and Menna Shalaby.
Walid – The Dreamy Introverted Young Man – STARS OF THE COAST
Stepping in very different shoes, Abdelhamid is also set to portray Walid, a dreamy introverted young man all too eager to hide from the world in his room and immerse himself in his love for music and suppressed imagination in the upcoming drama film STARS OF THE COAST.
Shehata – The Drug Dealing Thug – SIKO SIKO
Another eagerly anticipated Abdelhamid project is the film SIKO SIKO, in which he is set to play a thug and drug dealer who pursues the film’s protagonists when their interests conflict with his.
Ahmed Abdelhamid rose to stardom during the Ramadan 2023 season, when he played the role of the poor, light-hearted fisherman Shenabi in the widely successful and acclaimed drama TAHT EL WESAYA starring Mona Zaki. He also participated in the recent Ramadan 2024 season as Harbi, the arch-enemy of the titular character Cobra played by Mohamed Imam.
