Shortly after El Gouna Film Festival called for film submissions for its 6th Edition, Bushra announced her departure from the festival as Chief operating officer (COO).

Bushra announced via Social Media stating:
“In light of global and cosmic changes, one must keep pace with this change, reconsider his journey, and search for something new and a different challenge.

Therefore, I decided to end my journey with the El Gouna Film Festival.”

She continued: “After more than seven years, and with the end of my mandate, I’m content with preparing, establishing, and forming the work team and contributing to the organization and management of this huge cinematic and tourism event.

My moral role at El Gouna Film Festival is enough for me only as a co-founder, away from any position or executive role.”
