Ahmed Hatem, actor and a dedicated advocate for women’s rights and social justice, has taken on a significant role in combating gender-based violence in Egypt.

As the social affairs ambassador for the For Her, With Her Fund initiative, Ahmed Hatem is leading the charge to reinforce existing efforts and support the fight against gender-based violence in the country.

In a recent panel discussion held in Cairo, Ahmed Hatem participated alongside prominent figures, including the UK’s Ambassador to Cairo, Gareth Bayley, and Baroness Fiona Hodgson of Abinger, co-chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Women, Peace, and Security.

The For Her, With Her Fund: Aiming to Combat Gender-Based Violence

The For Her, With Her Fund initiative, launched by the British Embassy in Cairo, has a primary objective of supporting the fight against gender-based violence in Egypt. With Ahmed Hatem as the social affairs ambassador, the initiative aims to prioritize prevention by addressing the root causes of violence, reducing its prevalence and tolerance, and supporting survivors through strengthened service provision.
