Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) defender Achraf Hakimi is officially facing a criminal investigation in France over an allegation of rape made against him. The accusation was reported to the police by a 24-year-old woman on Sunday, and prosecutors subsequently questioned Hakimi on Thursday.
According to the French newspaper Le Parisien, the victim claimed that the incident occurred on February 25 at Hakimi’s home while his wife and children were on vacation. She alleged that the contact between her and the footballer was initiated through social media on January 16 and that he had paid for her to visit him at home.
“He kissed my mouth, lifted my shirt, and kissed my breasts even though I told him not to. I took a VTC that he asked me to take, and once at his house, things started to get out of control. Even though I told him no repeatedly, yet he still carried out the rape,”

Hakimi’s lawyer, Fanny Colin, denied the allegations, stating that they were false and that her client would cooperate with the authorities.
PSG has yet to comment on the matter.
Under French law, being charged does not necessarily mean the case will go to trial. However, Hakimi has been placed under police monitoring and banned from contacting the alleged victim.
It’s worth noting that his wife, Spanish actress Hiba Abouk, announced that she was separating from him, as reported by El Cierre Digital.
The situation will likely have serious implications for Hakimi’s career, both on and off the pitch. As one of PSG’s key players, any potential legal action against him could impact the club’s success on the field. It remains to be seen how the situation will unfold and whether Hakimi will face any further consequences. We will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as they become available.
