On the 9th of August, 2021, a social media post started circulating by the parents of a 9 years old girl who reported her harasser. A worker harassed the 9-year-old girl in the kids’ area at one of the biggest resorts in the North Coast.

What is the story?

The story was shared all over social media when the parents of the brave girl decided to talk and give the full detailed report.

While the daughters’ family was spending their vacation in North Coast, the daughter asked her mother on the 9th of August to play in the kids’ area at one of the luxury resorts in the North Coast.

Shortly after, the girl called her mother to pick her up. Upon arrival, the mother was told that one of the workers touched her inappropriately.

After sharing with her mother the details, the girl’s father went to the place again and let his daughter point out who the harasser was. They immediately went to take legal action at Al-Alamein Prosecution place, in Arab Tower, after a huge persistence, from the 9 years old daughter to take legal action against the guy who harassed her.

She opened a legal case, explaining everything to the investigators. This process lasted from 12:30 AM midnight till 6 AM.

The girl was already waiting her turn in the prosecution, with her family, in a brave appearance, fearing nothing, and telling the story, with Its, complete details. It was reported that she went twice to the Prosecution house. 

No sooner than that brave little girl explained the case to the policemen and cops, the harasser was under arrest for 24 hours, till they report his quotes too, and he will be, under investigation, again the next day. New reports say 4 days under arrest have been renewed, for the harasser, to continue deep investigations.

And to no one’s surprise, they found various child pornography content on the harasser’s phone.

What did the girl say in investgations?

When the girl explained the story, she reported:

I was playing, with her friends, in the Kids Hub, at the football area, one of the staff took the ball from us.

He told me many times to come after him, and take the ball – as if we are just playing.

The first time I went, I noticed him, putting his hands, on my lower back, touching all over the area. I thought it may occurred by mistake, but when I went to take the ball, for the second, third, and fourth time, I believed he’s not mistaken, he knows what he is doing.

At this moment, I decided to leave his presence, and he asked “why are you leaving?” And I claimed that I’m sick, then I told my parents everything.

Authorities checked places’ cameras and noticed that the harasser would take the child to specific places invisible to the security cameras, which makes it clear that this was planned and not his first time.

What happened now?

The case is continuing, as it’s reported, from a relative to the girls’ family. The last reported move was announced. On the 13th of August, the girl and her parents went to the Al-Alamein Cabinet to meet a representative from the Childs’ Helping Line, which is under the authority due to Al-Alamein Prosecution inquiry of the Childhood and Motherhood Cabinet. 

After the case has been on all-around social media platforms, her father spoke bravely about all the details and how brave his girl was, in the prosecution house, to NRJ radio. And we are deeply supporting them.

More importantly, teach your kids about sexual harassment at a young age

The mother’s Facebook post explains that she taught her daughter to be vocal if anyone touches her inappropriately.

We highly doubt that the child is even aware of what sexual harassment is at this age, but she knows it’s wrong, violating and that she needs to stand up for it.
